Say hello to Briony Maloney, our Customer & Sales Success Manager

Briony Maloney is our customer and sales success manager for emerging customer relationships at Kolmeo. She has over 20 years of experience in real estate, working across various property management, operational and support roles. A proud mother of two kids, she’s passionate about cooking, nature walks and having lots of fun along the way!

What do you do at Kolmeo?

Briony’s role at Kolmeo consists of working with new customers and supporting them as they move onto the Kolmeo platform.

She manages the movement of their data through a series of migration activities and data verification and coordinates the resources needed for a smooth migration and efficient onboarding of our new customers.

Briony plays a pivotal role in working directly with our new customers to help resolve any issues they may have and ensure they are satisfied with their experience on Kolmeo. She also works closely with other Kolmeo employees to ensure customer questions and concerns are addressed promptly.

What made you pursue a career in property management?

Growing up in Mentone, a bay-side suburb in Melbourne, Briony had her first property management opportunity working at her parents’ real estate agency, starting her career journey at 17.

Moving around to work in other fields, including PR as well as in logistics on the Gold Coast, Briony also travelled overseas before returning to work at her parents’ agency full time. She spent five years with the family business before moving to Noel Jones in trust accounting and then to Cantwell Property as a trust account manager.

Having spent many years working alongside property management and with a solid understanding of the breadth of the real estate industry, Briony was keen to continue to develop professionally. Cantwell was later purchased by Little Real Estate, and around that time, Briony started a family before returning to work with Agentplus as a Training & Implementation Manager.

Back in 2020, the Agentplus team launched Kolmeo with a new vision for proptech and property management focused on helping people to love renting, owning, and managing property. Briony jumped at the chance to be involved with delivering on Kolmeo’s vision.


What do you love about working at Kolmeo?

Briony loves being a part of reimaging property management for the next generation of tenants, owners, and property managers. She appreciates the people and culture at Kolmeo and what they bring to exciting projects and her day-to-day interactions at work. Briony loves building unique relationships with both Kolmeo’s clients and her co-workers.

She is inspired by the quality of work that gets produced, and she is excited about being with Kolmeo from its inception as a startup business with a strong vision and the right team progressively moving forward to deliver property management software that agencies, owners and tenants will love.

Where do you find inspiration?

Briony is a firm believer in the ability to bounce back from challenges in life. She finds inspiration in many things, including friendships, opportunities, and risk-taking, as well as valuing options to keep growing, exploring, and expanding in her professional and personal life.

If you could do one thing differently in your life, what would that be?

Many life lessons have been learnt and developed over her years, but if she could go back in time, Briony would purchase property in the 90s when house prices were so much lower than today.
